What's Brewing?

Good Morning!  I always love to start my day with a cup of coffee....ok who am I kidding? I drink coffee ALL DAY. It's my favorite drink. So when I saw this set from Simon Says Stamp I was beyond thrilled.  It came in my monthly card kit. I was all set to use just the elements from the kit when I saw THIS post on the Simon Says Stamp Blog.  It's the "Work It Wednesday" post for September and this month Shari Carroll came up with a really great color scheme. I loved it so much that I "made it work" with the October Card Kit.

I used a Tim Holtz stencil for the coffee stains in the background. Everything else (except the green paper) came from the October Kit.

A super fast, fun card. That is all for me today. I am off to have my 3rd cuppa joe....

Have a great day!

You're the Bomb

HI!  Today I have a totally Punny card!  I couldn't resist. The second I saw this new Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp I just had to make it. Ever have that happen? This card was a  nightmare for me though. I went waaaaaay out of my comfort zone, then I tore it apart, made a CAS card, hated that and went back to the original. LOL.

Anyhow, it's done and I am happy with all those bright, bold, summer colors!

The papers and images are from the kit. The title is from CASual Friday and the Letter stickers are Kelly Purkey that I colored orange with a Copic

Love that Wink of Stella glitter pen under Glossy Accents

I used Colorbox Frost white ink and Hero Arts White embossing powder.

This card is also entered into this weeks Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.  It's ANYTHING GOES and they are playing with CASual Friday and Technique Tuesday. :)
Gotta run.

Have a great day

Simon Says Stamp July Card Kit

Hi Happy Hot July!  Today I am sharing a few cards that I made with the July Simon Says Stamp Card Kit. I have to say that I think this one is my favorite one yet!  The patterned papers are just to die for. The ink...FAB. Just love everything about this kit. I am working on more cards from it today but I couldn't wait to share these 3. So let's get to it.

First here is the kit:
 It is just INCREDIBLE.

Here are my cards:

For this one I  stamped the little envelopes 3 times on the kraft cardstock in Black Hero Arts ink and added a little red heart and a sentiment stamped in the Lipstick Red SSS ink that is included in the kit. I used Hero Arts Navy to stamp the sentiment. All supplies on this card are in the kit other than the Black Hero Arts ink.
For this one I used the remainder of the flowered paper from the first card. I think this is my favorite print out of all of them. I used a Memory Box die to die cut the flower from the first two layers and then die cut it again with the chevron paper from the kit and inlaid it into the flowers. I used the Simon Says Stamp Hello die for my sentiment.
My third card I used the Puffy Stickers from the kit. I LOVE these. They are by Pink Paislee. I love the texture of them. They are kind of rubbery and they stick incredibly. I stamped the little flower from the set in Colorbox White Frost pigment ink and then stamped over them with the SSS Lipstick Red, Hero Arts Navy and Hero Arts Cornflower blue. I added some dots and some tick marks around the edge of the tag that I created with the Kraft Cardstock. It was so fast and so simple...one of the reasons I love these kits so very, very much.

That's all for today. I am off to create more!  If you don't get these kits on a monthly basis, I highly recommend them. You can also buy them each month without a subscription.

While I am here I thought I would enable you a bit....if you haven't seen...Simon Says Stamps is offering a HUGE savings on Kelly Purkey items right now....75% off...yup 75 PERCENT OFF!  Crazy right? Use the Code PURKEY at checkout.
Also, they are having a Copic Sale too!!!
I know where my birthday money is going!  lol

Have a FANTABULOUS DAY!!!!

*note: I'm struggling with inlinkz right now. I linked it individually in the descriptions.

Simon Says Stamp May Card Kit Creations

I have been a blog slacker....big time! I do have a good reason though. We recently moved. Our new house is a lot bigger than our old one. It needs a lot of decorating...which I will be doing when my new Cameo arrives. It took me forever to get my stamp room complete. It's still needs organization but it's good enough to work in now. I also have another BIG reason.....

Meet Boomer:

He is our new Golden Retriever puppy. Isn't he just adorable? I am in love to say the least. He is now 11 weeks (he's only 7 weeks in the photo). He is the 3rd fur baby in our home. So on top of 5 kids, 3 fur babes and a new home I have had very little time to blog. I have created a TON. Just haven't had a chance to post. My little orange ball of fur loves to attack anything...including the wires to the laptop. He is getting better now and napping on the dog bed next to my desk as I type.

With that said, I have a couple of cards to share that I created with the May Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp. I loved this kit. I had a ton of fun with it. Here is the first card I made for my son who was leaving to go away to a SKILLS competition in his machine shop:

I used the Star Stencil and inked it in Distress inks (Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers and Broken China) I also used similar colors with my Prismacolors to color the title.  I topped it off with some Wink of Stella.

I love that shimmer.
For the second card I decided to create a girl version of the boy card. I used more Distress inks (Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Dried Marigold and Picked Raspberry). I stamped the sneakers on DCWV glitter paper and then cut them out. I added some shading with a Prismacolor pencil and put them on pop dots. The sticker letters came in the kit.

I love how the glitter paper looks with these sneakers. I them in a few different colors for another card or even a layout.

That's all from me today. Have a fabulous day! :)

You Brighten My Day

Hello. I have one more card share today using the Simon Says Stamp April Card Kit.  The papers in this kit were a lot of fun. I had a hard time choosing which ones to use.

I finally settled on these:
I decided to not put a greeting on the front of the card. I love the lightbulb with all those cool word. I left the sentiment for the inside of the card.

I am also entering this in this week's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog's Challenge....it's anything goes.

That's all for today. I am working on the May kit from Simon Says Stamp now and having a ball. I will post those later this week. Have a great day.

CASE Study Hello (Inspired by Shari Carrol)

Hi ya! Today I am here with a card for the CASE Study Design Team Call. The challenge was to make a card inspired by a muse chosen by you. I chose Shari Carroll for this one. She is SO TALENTED and just blows me away...every.single.time.  Here is her card:

I love how Shari curved the paper. I decided to go brighter on my card. I also used the Simon Says Stamp April Card Kit to complete my card.

I used the Simon Says Stamp A2Card Curved Edge die on 3 different papers. I also used the Simon Says Stamp Small Hello die on it too.  I covered the hello with glossy accents. Instead of using flowers on mine I chose wooden pieces from the kit.

Thanks for stopping by. If you are interested in the CASE Study DT call you can find the information HERE. The call ends today though.

Til next time....

You are loved

Hey everyone! Sorry for the impromptu break. My back went out...bad this time. I couldn't move for almost 2 solid weeks.  I am now back to crafting and trying to get a bunch done because I am going to have to take a rather long break because we are moving! I am so excited. We have been in duplex for years. We got a beautiful single family home in a really nice neighborhood. I am thrilled and the best part...I get my very own stamp/scrap studio. I am living on Pinterest every night trying to decorate my home digitally!

Anyhow, I am playing along with the FABULOUS Simon Says Stamp this week. I have been completely addicted to stencils and embossing paste as of late. I use the embossing paste with pearl embossing powder this time. I love the effect.

The Challenge this week was to use hearts...I don't think it was too hard of a challenge with all the goodness SSS put out with their Valentine release.

I used the Simon Says Stamp Falling Hearts Stencil with white embossing paste and then I heat embossed it with ClearSnap's pearl embossing powder. It's kind of hard to see it in the photos below but it has a really nice pearl look to it.

I die cut a Hero Arts Heart out of the card and then embossed the "You are" in American Crafts Zing Gold Glitter embossing powder.  I did the same with the Avery Elle Banner.

The flower is from Michael's and the leaf is from Taylored Expressions!

Thanks for stopping by.  See you soon

More Simon Says Dec. Card Kit Cards

Hi everyone. I am back today with a few more cards that I made with the Simon Says Stamp Dec. Card Kit

This was the kit...I do believe it is sold out....it was so fab!!!

For this one I used the woodgrain paper, the Kelly Purkey Letter and Numbers and the Washi Tape.

This card was totally inspired by Shari Carroll. :)

More woordgrain paper, Doodlebug papers from the kit and the stamp set that was included

This one was super easy. I love fast cards.

That's all from me today. I will try to post again before Christmas. If I don't I hope you have a magical Christmas and a very Happy New Year.
