Summer Card Camp day 2

Today I have 2 cards to share. I really loved this color combination. I wanted to show how you can use it for fun and for elegant. It's a very summery combination. first up is a very summery card.

summer fun

I started by cutting the white artisan shape in my Silhouette. I like to cut lots of these shapes at once and then store them. It makes it so much easier to just grab one when needed than having to cut one every time. I then ran it through my Big Shot with the Cuttlebug embossing folder. I stamped the Lawn Fawn images on the MME Lime Twist cut out and added pop dots. Except for the floaty I stamped him on Snow Layering paper and then colored him with my Copics. I stamped the flourishes in the Hero Arts Poppy on the Poppy card, I love tone on tone. I stamped the words, cut them out and then outlined them with Copics, I then attached it all. It was a very quick, simple card.

Next up is a fun one. I had a good time with this one. I played with it for a while before I was happy with it.

so thoughtful OLCC

I started by using my Big Shot to cut a shape from my Label 8 die, then stamping the Sweet Threads background stamp in Versamark and heat embossing it with white embossing powder. I used Distress inks in Dried Marigold and Barn Door to color them in. I sprayed it heavily with Perfect Pearls to give it a nice shimmer. I love way it darkened the colors from brights to earth tones.

I stamped the funky leaf from the Sweet Threads Thank you set in green, then die cut some felt with the My Favorite things rolled flowers....LOVE THIS DIE!!! I attached it all and added some bling. I use a Cerulean note card from Hero Arts and the Thank you definition stamp, inked it with the Grass chalk ink from Hero Arts and stamped my background. I went to attach it all and realized it needed something else so I pulled out a piece of DCWV paper, attached my embossed shape to it and quickly trimmed around it to give it a nice mat. I stamped my saying on some Cantaloupe Bazzill, pop dotted it and added some bling.

I cannot recommend this Card Camp enough. It was AWESOME!!! Please see yesterdays post for the link to sign up for the self paced version.

Have a wonderful day!
