Glittery goodness

I recently went to a stamp retreat.  While there a friend was showing us a small stack of DCWV's Glitzy Glitter Stack. Now normally if I had seen the packaging I would have walked right by it. Most glitter paper is chunky and not soft looking or feeling at all. Well folks lemme tell ya...this paper is NOTHING like that.  Out of the 36 women there I don't think one of us didn't fall in LOVE with this paper. It is soft, supple and just absolutely GORGEOUS!  Don't be fooled by packaging my friend. We seriously bought Archiver's out of all these stacks that weekend.

The good news is Heidi, the owner of Simon Says Stamp, was also there and she too fell in love with the paper. You can now find it in her store HERE. If you go to your local craft store looking for it you need to really look at it. Not all stacks are the GLITZY paper.

I die cut this gorgeous Simon Says Stamp snowflake out of the light blue glitter paper.  You have to cut it with the die on the back of the glitter paper for the best cut and run it through a couple of times. It may not seem like you got a good through and through cut because of the glue they use on the paper but with a little tug the images will pop right out of the paper.

The silver edges are Martha Stewart glitter, the white is crushed glass (yes actual crushed glass) with the Glitzy snowflake on top.  Banner is from Avery Elle, Sentiment is Hero Arts.

Just look how amazing that blue glitter snowflake is. It makes me swoon.

This paper also cuts beautifully in the Silhouette Machine.  If you saw my coasters on ABNH or Here on my blog last week, the glitter tree is the same paper but cut with my Silhouette.

That's all from me today. Have a great day.
