Dear Santa Week 4- 5 minute gifts

Hey all today is our final Dear Santa week over at A Blog Named Hero. I am sad to see it end. There have been so many wonderful projects up on the blog.

I would like to give a BIG HUGE THANK YOU to all our "Santas" They most definitely started my holiday season right! Simon Says Stamp, Avery Elle, Neat & Tangled, Kelly Purkey, Lawn Fawn, Amy Tangerine, CAS-ual Friday and Hero Arts! We couldn't have done it without you. They are some of the most generous companies in the stamping world!

This week is all about 5 minute gifts. I don't really think any gift can be done in 5 minutes but with a little prep work you can definitely get them done. One of my 5 minute gifts are magnets for the refrigerator. They were so very simple to do.

Here I  used the Hero Arts/Sizzix Floral set. I die cut the images out of Neenah Cardstock and the Darice Magnetic sheets (you have to run it through a couple of times) then I colored the stamps with Tombow Markers, misted them lightly with water and some Perfect Pearls, then stamping the image. I then attached them to the magnetic die cuts. The magnetic sheets are sticky on one side so no adhesive in necessary.

I did the same thing with the Lawn Fawn Critters in the Park except that I colored them with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol

Here I have some Avery Elle and Lawn Fawn Critters in Costume.  The top of the Avery Elle is pop dotted. These are great for kids artwork and papers that we all post on our fridges.

To go with these I made some really quick gift card holders:

I used Neat & Tangled's Simple Christmas and On the Strip 2, mixed with some Hero Arts. I masked off the bottom and stamped the stripes. I then masked off the stripes stamped the house and masked that too and stamped the Hero Arts snowflakes in Silver then heat embossed them. Super fast.

This last one took a little longer but was so worth it. I started by cutting a 3.5 x 3.5 gift card out with my Silhouette.  I stamped the Neat & Tangled wreath, pinecones and leaves. I also stamped the Avery Elle bow and covered it with Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents. It all came together fairly quickly.

Please stop by A Blog Named Hero to see what the other girls did....they are just so talented.  We have some great prizes you can win too.

See you soon.

What a clever idea to use diecut/stamp set combo! Love your cute samples, Michelle!
