Birth Announcement

Hi everyone today I am sharing a birth announcement that I am making for my daughter's 3rd/4th grade teacher. We were lucky enough to have her for 3 years! I really came to adore her. She just had her first baby. She is not Faith's teacher anymore but she is still a friend and I wanted to do something special for her for the birth of her first child, so I offered to make her birth announcements. It was my gift to her at her baby shower. That is her new little guy in the picture. I deleted all the information for privacy sake.

It was really simple. It's a 5x7 post card kind of card, it doesn't open. I had made a few different cards for her to choose from and this the one she picked. It was so simple to put together. I used the Hero Arts Life of the Party Stars and stamped those in the yellow shadow ink on the yellow paper and I stamped the canvas stripes in pool on the blue.

I created the lion using a Silhouette shape from the Silhouette store. He is called hanging lion. I used Papertrey inks stamp and die for the giraffe. I printed his information on vellum, and attached it with Twistle...remember this from Making Memories? I love this stuff and own every color!

It was really simple and very straight forward. It has to be. I have to make 40 more of these this weekend! YIKES!

I hope you have a wonderful day. Today is my baby girl's birthday. I will be back later to post her card...I have yet to make it!! Double Yikes! I am so far behind this week!

Have a great day! :)

Michelle
