Tropical flowers

I was thinking of tropical weather yesterday and how we have the rain (5+ days in a row so far) but not many beautiful flowers yet...so I decided to create my own.

tropical thank you flower

I used the Luscious Bold Flowers set from the Basic Grey/Hero Arts marriage for the Hello Luscious Collection. I love these flowers.

I inked them with Versamark then embossed with white embossing powder. I used Distress inks to color the flowers in ( Marigold, Orange Marmalade, Mustard Seed and Barn Door) I then took the smaller of the 2 and made small slits through each petal making the center flower. I scrunched it all together and then added a brad to attach it to the smaller flower and then the bigger flower. I curved all the edges up.

I stamped the flowers in Poppy Ink by Hero Arts on a Poppy Hero Arts note card, added my sentiment and boom...done!

Have a few cards to share this week and when I get to 50 followers I have a give-a-way to do with some fun products.

Have a wonderful day and if it's raining where you are....think of tropical flowers...it helps ;)
