Hello Friday!

Hi Today I am playing along with the gals over at Avery Elle's AEI Heart u's Challenge Blog

I instantly knew what stamp set I wanted to use for this! I chose Petals and Stems.

I used a technique called "Velvateen Stamping". Shari Carroll first introduced it on the Hero Arts blog a few years back.  Basically, you take a background stamp and ink it up in white pigment ink and stamp it onto a white card, then heat set it WITHOUT embossing powder.  Once it is dry you stamp your images over it and it picks up a very subtle hint of the background image.  I love this look on these Avery Elle flowers. The camera didn't catch it so well but it is gorgeous in person.  I used Hero Arts inks to stamp the background flowers over the white Colorbox ink.

The glitter paper is DCWV and the Hello is a Simon Says Stamp Die.

Thanks for stopping by.
Michelle

Stunning card Michelle! Good luck with the DT Call as A2Z !!!

Happy 4th to you and your family -- sure wish the weather was nicer, but it does sound like tomorrow will be MUCH better!!

Thankfully our little postponed our Parade/Bonfire until tomorrow. I felt so bad for all those people who had to "flee" Boston's events last night in those horrible storms. My poor dogs were NOT happy!!
