Simon Says December Card Kit

Hello everyone, I have made a New Year Resolution early. I never make resolutions. I choose "One Little Word" with Ali Edwards every year but this year I am changing it up a bit. My resolution you ask? To use my Simon Says Stamp Card Kits right when they come in every. single. month. I have a stack of 2013 next to me. I am going to use them all up with the new 2014 kits. I am starting early though. I have been playing and over the next couple of days I am going to share the cards I make with the December 2013 kit. It was a great kit!

This is the kit:

Here are my cards:

For my first card I decided to go manly. My kids love this card. They laugh every time they see it. I think it's quite funny too. I love that battery stamp. I colored it in with Prismacolor Pencils and just used a black pen to outline the edge of the card. Very CAS.

Another very CAS card.  I traced the snowflake stencil with my White Sakura Gelly Roll pen. Best white pen on the market...hands down. It never skips, it doesn't dry out and it's dry within seconds of  hitting the paper. I get mine at Michaels. I haven't found them anywhere else singly.  I stamped the title in White and Heat embossed with Hero Arts White Embossing powder...the whitest white on the market in my honest opinion.
The little sequins that were in this kit are incredible. I love them. They are so tiny and only require a small dab of glossy accents to hold them.

This last card uses patterned papers from the kit, the stencil snowflake and I added the Merry Christmas die cut from SSS holiday release. I love this die.  I placed the stencil on the tag and held it down with some washi while I covered it in some Versamark. I then used the Zing Glitter Silver embossing powder on it. The shine is amazing in person.

That is all for today. If you don't get the monthly Simon Says Stamp Card Kit, I highly recommend that you do. It is just chock full of goodness.

Beautiful cards, Michelle! I think my favorite may be the middle one, because I never thought of using that stencil like you did - it is wonderful! Thanks so much for sharing all of these with us at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!
