Happy Birthday Dude

Hi everyone. I have a quick card to share today. I was playing with my new Avery Elle stamps and dies and made this card for my son, whose birthday is next month. I'm on a roll....I never make a card this far in advance! lol
I started by using the Avery Elle Star die to cut the star. I didn't run the bottom portion through my Big Shot so that it would stay attached to the card.   I then used the circle that was in the set and die cut the circle. Again not running the bottom portion through my Big Shot so that the star would stay intact. I cut the bottom portion of the circle/star out with my exacto knife.

For the background of the circle I traced it and then covered the card, minus the circle, with masking paper. I stamped the small stars and dots from the set and then heat embossed them in a light silver...it's looks almost like pearl white.  The ink didn't stay wet long enough and it is kind of splotchy looking but I decided to go with it anyhow. Then I inked the circle in Distress Ink Peacock Feathers.

I stamped the Hero Arts Birthday background in Hero Arts Tide pool, I stamped the star in and the sun burst in HA orange soda.  The banner portion was colored with Prismacolor pencils and then stamped the Birthday in Black.

The "Dude" title are some old American Crafts letter stickers.

That's all from me today.

Hope you are having a Fabulous week! :)
