Simon Says Stamp May Kit Cards

Hi everyone. I am so excited that my Simon Says Stamp Card Kit arrived. I am even more excited that I am now receiving it as a monthly subscription!

Here is the kit if you haven't seen it:

I have 2 cards to share that I created from this kit. I still have so many supplies left from it too.

First up is a Gift Card holder:

I created the pocket by using the banner stamp. I stamped it many times in Hero Arts Wet Cement and then I just trimmed off the banner portion and cut it into a pocket shape. I stitched it just around the edges so that it would hold a gift card.

I stamped the 2 roses from the stamp set on watercolor paper, used my watercolor pencils and a waterbrush to color them in and them spritzed it heavily with Perfect pearls. I layered the small flower on top of the bigger one with a pop dot.

I used the small dots that come in the stamp set and stamped around the rose and then filled it in with the liquid pearls. I MUST buy more of this stuff. It's incredible.

I finished it all off by sewing around the edges of it all.

Here is a close up of the pocket:

Here's a closer look at the flower:

Next up is a card that I was really happy with until the vase became an EPIC FAIL on my part. The card is for my 80 yr old neighbor and I figured she is going to love it anyhow.

I started by stamping 12 roses and coloring them in with my Prismacolor Pencils and adding Star Dust Stickles to them.  I layered and sewed some papers onto the background.  I had cut the vase out of the vellum that came in the kit. I used my Silhouette and a Hero Arts shape. I love this vase. I also cut it out of Silhouettes double sided adhesive, I peeled the sections away and added the teal glitter. It looked GORGEOUS until I realized how flat it looked when I placed it over the flowers and that I couldn't pop dot it. I ended up attaching it to white cardstock and covering it with glitter. I edged it with a coordinating Copic.

I love the pre-made sentiments that came in the kit. I cut this one out and cut little banners into the ends of it to give it some added shape.

A closer look at all that yummy stickles.

A closer look at the vase. Actually the more I look at it in this picture the more I think I like it. I don't know. It's staying regardless. lol

That's it for today. I will definitely be making more with this kit. It's just fabulous!

Have a GREAT DAY! :)

Michelle
