Glitter Heart Frame.....

I made this over the weekend. I really had a good time making it. Although, truth be told my entire house is covered in glitter specks. I keep finding them everywhere including on the dogs! lol! I took pictures as I went along.

I started with some Therm-O-Web SuperTape sheets. I always have these on hand. They work so well with glitter. There are lots of uses for this stuff. I have a few more projects that I can share later with other uses.

My project size is a 5x7 frame. I am putting it in my daughters room. I measured the frame portion onto white cardstock to make sure all my hearts would show within the frame.

I ran my white cardstock through my Silhouette and used a heart shape that I sized to 1x1 and cut 24 of them out.

I did the same thing with my sheet of SuperTape

I inked some of the hearts with my favorite Distress inks, some I left white. The deeper tones are the ones that had the heart, a layer of Distress ink, Supertape and then glitter. The others were just plain white, SuperTape and then glitter. I love how I used the same color glitter but got different tones of color. Inexpensive and incredible results.

To add the glitter you just peel the white film off the back, attach it to a heart and then peel the pink film off and pour glitter on it. It's so very easy to use. (If you do hearts it's easiest to line the heart and the SuperTape up by aligning the points of the hearts together first.) I added 3 foam squares onto the back of each heart.

Now I am sure you are asking...why didn't I just attach the SuperTape to the cardstock before I ran it through the Silhouette...it's because I wanted to ink the hearts for the 2 tone effect. But for the title, I did just that! ;)

What I did for the title is I carefully cut away the pink film on the heart only with my xacto knife. and then used the glitter on it. After that was done I peeled away the love and you and put pink glitter on it.

Popped it in a frame and Voila! A pretty decoration for her room.

I hope you have a fabulous day. I have so much to share this week....see you tomorrow :)
