10 things that make me happy!
I made this little book for myself out of coin envelopes from Staples. They are about 2,5 x3.o and they are just so much fun. Inside each one I wrote myself reminders about why each one makes me happy. When I am having a bad day I can pick it up and it's sure to cheer me up! :) (ugh...sorry about the dates on them. I forgot I had to turn it on for something and never took it off. what a way to ruin a photo.) Off to fix the camera! :)

Birthday Trio

Some fun stuff. I was reading and issue of Paper Crafts magazine the other day and throughout the magazine they did the same card 3 different ways. This is my take on that and it was also Birthday week over at the Hero Arts blog. I love that blog. I haven't been able to do many of the challenges but I really wanted to do this one. With school starting up soon there will be a ton of birthday parties for the kids to go to. I hate rushing at the 11th hour to get a card done for them to take. I refuse to buy cards too so this way I will have them stock piled. I am hoping to get a few more in this week before I have to go back to work full-time again.
The ice cream cone was my favorite to make. I used Stampin' Up! flocking on it. I have to laugh at the whole "flocking craze" right now. I have had this stuff for years. I bought it at least 7 years ago. I have used it on and off. It wasn't really "in" back then. But now it's a craze. Go figure. Same thing with the computer. I was a hybrid scrapper almost from the beginning. One of the first layouts I ever did incorporated my computer. It's funny how things become a craze and then fade away in this industry. I personally am not a craze kind of gal. I just go with my own flow.
Anyhow...here's a close up of the cards. Enjoy!

Pieces of me
Just trying to jumpstart my mojo. I had to force myself to scrap this week. This is way out of my comfort zone but I needed to just toss something together. I am satisfied with the end result. My dd's fish died. She was heartbroken. My camera is still broken and my photos keep coming out blurry. ugh....It did work for this layout though. This is her on the swing mourning her fish.
The paper is from KI Memories Pieces of me line. I think it was the greatest line they ever put out. I miss this line and I try not to use it so I can keep hoarding it. I love it and I panic about it being all gone. I am slowly depleting it and freaking out because I can't get anymore.
I was inspired by the blog over at 2 peas to use something that you hoard. Mine is always KI Paper. Mostly the older lines. I have about 10lbs of their patterned paper...no lie.
Pieces of Me...there should be a pieces of me 2 and a re-release of the old lines. what do you think?

Bff
Trevor has some very true friends. All but one are going into 5th grade while he goes to 4th. They all wrote him some beautiful letters before the end of the school year (It was a homework assignment to write a letter to someone) . I wanted to save them for him so I created this page with pictures from their "almost overnight trip". It's a huge pocket behind the photos and the words stamped on white are on a transparency from a Stamping on Transparency class that I took at 2 peas. Too fun.
The owl is on the tag at the bottom. I haven't done the journaling just yet. I think I want Trev to do it. His friends. His thoughts. So cool.
